SUBMARINE SYSTEMS

Weir S&H has an unrivalled track record of involvement in major submarine programmes from the Trafalgar class submarines for the UK Royal Navy through to the current Spanish S-80 programme.

The consultancy business focuses on specialist analysis, requirements capture, concept generation, design assurance and proof of concept demonstrator builds for mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, structural and software systems, to provide high-integrity solutions in the defence (land, sea and air) logistics arena and related fields.

Customers include a large number of MoD IPTs as well as QinetiQ, BAE Systems, DML, Rolls Royce and Thales. The consultancy business maintains Weir S&H's expertise and regularly uses the company owned advanced technical software tools such as Ansys, Automod, Unigraphics, Solid Edge, Matlab, Flowmaster, CFX and OrCad, as well as a number of in-house developed software codes.

DESIGN AND BUILD FOR DEFENCE PROJECTS

Undertaking high-integrity build to print projects involving material procurement, welding, machining, assembly and testing offering attractive solutions to suit all our customers' needs.
