The new Geobrugg FOXX floating boat barrier was successfully launched during the naval defence exhibition, Navdex, in Abu Dhabi. The FOXX floating boat barrier is the newest development in waterside protection for critical infrastructure like military installations, nuclear power plants, dams, commercial ports, platforms, LNG terminals, etc.
The main advantages of the FOXX floating boat barrier are:
- Successfully tested in 1:1 scale impact tests
- Easy and smooth gate operation
- Anchoring distance of up to 100m, depending on the site conditions
- Good corrosion protection due to use of stainless steel
- Unsinkable, high UV protected floating elements
- Quick assembly of barrier
Several authority delegations visited the Geobrugg Security Engineering stand and expressed their interest in Geobrugg boat barriers.
