Piller provides the highest quality technical consultation in the planning and specifying stages of its projects, observing national, international and customised constructions regulations and specifications, e.g. BV 31, STANAG 1008, MIL STD 1399, VDE, German Lloyd, Lloyds Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, RINA, ABS. Piller’s solutions entail extremely low structure-borne and air-borne noise levels. This is achieved by special constructional measures. All products are highly efficient due to optimum electrical and mechanical design and the weight- and space-saving constructions take account of the respective installation conditions.

Shock and vibration is according to BV 043 and BV 044 and EMC compatibility is in accordance with EN55011, VDE 0875, MIL STD 461. All products are designed for high levels of reliability even under extreme environmental conditions such as operating areas affected by oil or diesel fumes, operating temperatures of up to 65°C, angles of heel of up to approx. 60° and humidity of up to approx. 95%.

Piller products are insensitive to temporary sea-water flooding. They are renowned for user-friendly operation and maintenance, are certified according to the DIN ISO 9001 quality assurance system and undergo continuous inspection by ship classification societies. Piller can provide proof of customer specifications in the form of sample/type or batch testing in accordance with in-house or customised test specifications.
