McGeoch Technology designs and manufactures a wide range of naval lighting. The Company has designed and supplied lighting for the British Royal Navy’s Type 45 Class of destroyers and Astute Class submarines.

NAVAL CONTROL PANELS AND NAVAL SWITCHGEAR

McGeoch Technology designs and manufactures naval control panels and naval switchgear to customer requirements. The company offers a design and advisory service based on experience of type-tested equipment so that our customers can, in turn, offer cost-effective, low risk solutions to their customers.

HAZARDOUS AREA LIGHTING AND MARINE LIGHTING

McGeoch Technology has designed and is in the process of gaining approval for a range of hazardous area lighting for both marine and land-based applications. Based on LED technology, these lights will have both ATEX (ExE) and marine certification. The company designed and is supplying the hazardous area lighting for Astute Class submarines.

Drawing on the experience of designing for the Royal Navy, McGeoch Technology has developed a range of rugged but cost-effective fluorescent light fittings for commercial marine applications. From our experience of designing LED space lighting for hazardous areas we also offer cost effective LED space lighting for marine and land-based applications.

LED LIGHT FITTINGS

Growing out of the LED lighting designed and supplied by McGeoch Technology for a number of specialist applications, the company is now developing and testing LED light fittings as traditional light fitting replacements. LED technology offers longer life, lower maintenance and lower power requirements than the equivalent fluorescent or incandescent light fittings.

LED ESCAPE LIGHTS AND SECURITY LIGHTING

McGeoch Technology designed and is supplying:

• LED based, battery-backed escape lights for the Royal Navy’s Type 45 Class destroyers and Astute Class submarines
• LED-based low-intensity, night vision adaptation or night vision goggle (NVG) compatible, security lighting
• High power LED, daylight readable marshalling flag replacement signs for Formula 1 racing

LED LIGHTING IN DEVELOPMENT

McGeoch Technology has designed and is in the process of testing high power LED, fluorescent replacement space lighting for:

• Railway carriages
• Hazardous areas in both offshore and land based installations
• Safe areas in both offshore and land based installations
