Advanced Conversion Products is a division of Transistor Devices, Incorporated (TDI), which is one of the world's largest privately held power-supply companies.

NAVAL POWER-CONVERSION SYSTEMS

Headquartered in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, the USA, we specialize in highly reliable power-conversion systems that operate in severe military environments, including naval, shipboard, ground-mobile and airborne applications.

Our naval power-conversion systems range in power from 100W conduction-cooled power cards to >100,000W liquid-cooled power cabinets. We provide both standard and customized naval power-conversion systems.

MILITARY STANDARD NAVAL POWER-CONVERSION SYSTEMS

Our naval power-conversion systems are qualified to MIL-STD-461 (EMI), MIL-STD-810 (environmental), MIL-HDBK-217 (reliability) and meet the applicable standard for overall electrical performance of the system whether it be in the air, on the sea, or on the ground. In addition, DEF-STAN and STANAG performance requirements are routinely met for UK and European military needs.

VME CARD POWER SUPPLIES

Through the use of synchronous rectification, TDI is able to achieve outstanding efficiencies of nearly 90% on our fully conduction-cooled VME card power supplies. Designed for standard ATR enclosures, VME card power supplies meet all military standards for EMI, shock or vibe, and reliability in an industry standard 6U or 3U package.

NAVAL DC-AC INVERTERS

TDI's naval DC-AC inverters deliver the 'sine of perfection'. Using high frequency pulse-width modulation, these DC-AC inverters synthesize a sinusoidal output with less than 1% THD. Compatible with MIL-STD-1275 vehicle power and MIL-STD-704 aircraft power, ACE series inverters from 1kVA through 15kVA can be ordered with a 50Hz, 60Hz or 400Hz output.

NAVAL MIL-UPS SYSTEMS

Awarded a "Best Technology" award by Electronic Design Magazine, our robust MIL-UPS systems support mission-critical systems. Standard and customized UPS systems deliver seamless AC backup. These true on-line designs use double conversion topology with power factor correction.

Featuring wide inputs and fully isolated outputs, our MIL-UPS systems are available from 1kVA through to 8kVA.

THREE-PHASE POWER FACTOR CORRECTION

Our three-phase power factor correction is available in a single module. This patented technology offers greater power-density and higher reliability than traditional multi-module solutions. Building blocks can be configured and paralleled for varying outputs and power levels, and it is a MIL-STD-810-qualified design.

LIQUID-COOLED POWER SYSTEMS

Based upon patented technology, TDI offers alternative thermal-management solutions utilizing liquid-cooling power systems for high-power devices. Our liquid-cooling power systems see hot-swappable rectifier power modules paralleled in an N+1 redundant fashion to provide a highly reliable solution. Output voltages in excess of 1000VDC are available through our liquid-cooling power systems.

CUSTOMIZED AC AND DC CONVERTERS

We provide a range of customized AC and DC converters capable of meeting the requirements of nearly any severe environment.

Our expertise ranges from low-power, ultra-low noise AC and DC converters to medium range (1kW to 8kW) power supplies designed for mobile applications to scalable high-power systems producing 100kW or more. Redundant N+1 battery-backed AC and DC converters provide 'zero downtime' solutions to critical power needs.
