Defence and aerospace information specialists Absolute Data Group (ADG) has achieved SCORM 2004 – 4th Edition Adapters Conformance Validation from the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) centre for the Skills Studio Learning Content Management System.
Skills Studio is part of ADG's S1000D Technical Data Suite, enabling the delivery of interactive online training for maintainers and operators of mission critical assets.
"Skills Studio allows rapid creation and distribution of online courses and when combined with our Skills MyClass Server, the system allows for advanced student management, providing an end-to-end e-learning environment," says ADG's CEO Tammy Halter.
E-learning for defence, aerospace and engineering
Defence, aerospace and engineering organisations require online learning systems that fully utilise multimedia and technical data. Skills M5 leverages these assets, including the re-purposing of S1000D content. While the author works in a forms-based authoring environment, XML is created when a lesson is saved to the course tree. All data modules, images and linked content are stored in the database. The read-only view into the S1000D Repository (R4i CSDB Server) makes content reuse as easy as drag & drop.
Established in 1997 with the vision to standardise and modernize training and education management and delivery, the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative works to provide access to high-quality learning that can be modified to suit individual needs whilst delivering cost effective content.
Absolute Data Group provides software solutions that enable the defence, aerospace and heavy industry to create, manage and leverage information that is vital to the operation and maintenance of their critical assets. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, with partners in the USA, the UK and Asia, ADG has provided mission critical technical publishing and information management solutions for over 12 years.
