OSI Geospatial announced today that its International Systems Operations has achieved formal-type approval from Germanischer Lloyd for its ECPINS® software against the NATO STANAG 4564 Edition 2 for warship electronic chart and information display systems.

“This very important milestone is a unique event as ECPINS is the only software to have achieved a third-party formal assessment by a notified body. OSI Geospatial is now able to provide evidence through independent means that our software meets the stringent NATO WECDIS requirements, a statement or fact that no other manufacturer can make,” said Ken Kirkpatrick, President and CEO. “Our advanced technology and adherence to stringent military standards position us very well in the high-growth maritime military and security niche markets that the company is pursuing.”
