Imtech Marine & Offshore specialises in electrical engineering, electronics and automation systems for various demanding maritime customers. Products include Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS), electrical propulsion systems, platform monitoring and control systems, navigation management systems, ship automation and hydrographic systems.

Originating from the renowned company Van Rietschoten & Houwens (R&H Systems), we have engineered, designed, manufactured and installed equipment, machinery and complete systems on-board vessels since 1860.

SYSTEM INTEGRATOR

System integration means accepting full responsibility for the design, manufacturing, installation and support of the whole scope of supply. With the capability to automate a ship from top to bottom, Imtech naturally fits this role, providing the answer to the ever-changing demands of our customers, by not limiting ourselves to the traditional role of a system integrator. Task-oriented system integration is the new challenge.

INTEGRATED BRIDGE SYSTEMS

As a natural consequence of the task-oriented design approach, Imtech has developed naval integrated bridge systems that can act as the digital control centre of all ship management functions. Configurable for one-man bridge operation, available options include:

• Integrated platform monitoring and control systems, and conning-display information systems
• Special auto pilots; including options as speed control, dynamic positioning, docking control and rudder-roll stabilisation

ECDIS 3500

The 3500 series ECDIS is a type approved IMO / IHO-compliant electronic-chart display and information system using IHO S-57, HCRF (e.g. ARCS) formatted data. The open-system architecture that runs on multiple platforms (UNIX and Windows® NT) allows easy integration into integrated bridge systems, as well as combat command and control systems.

UNIMACS 3000 INTEGRATED PLATFORM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The UniMACS 3000 IPMS is a sophisticated, reliable, user-friendly platform management system. The modular and fully redundant concept provides optimal flexibility and survivability. Other notable features are low lifecycle-costs, embedded onboard training and on-line diagnostics.

INTERNATIONAL NAVAL PROJECTS

Imtech is actively involved in many (international) naval projects. In the Netherlands, Imtech's scope of supply for the LPD-2 project includes the design and installation of the electrical generation and distribution system, including the electrical propulsion system; the UniMACS integrated bridge, including navigation sensors; and the platform automation systems. Imtech also supplies the HVAC system and NBCD filter units.

On the LCF frigates project, our scope of supply includes the electrical installation, platform automation system and the UniMACS integrated bridge.

The HOV project saw us supply the navigation and hydrographic-survey system, the UniMACS integrated bridge system and the autopilot system.

UNITED KINGDOM PROJECTS

On the UK LSD(A) projects, we designed and installed the electrical generation and distribution system, including the electrical propulsion system; the UniMACS integrated bridge, including navigation sensors; and the platform automation systems.

On the Astute submarines project, we provided the steering and diving control system.

PROJECTS IN GERMANY

For the F-124 project we supplied the HVAC system, NBCD filter units, the rudder-roll stabilisation autopilot, and more, whilst for the K130 corvettes project we provided Adaptive Steering and Stabilisation Autopilot (ASSA), including rudder-roll stabilisation.

SINGAPOREAN PROJECTS

For Singapore's Endurance class of landing ship tanks, Imtech supplied the UniMACS integrated bridge, switchgear, ECDIS, and ship control, monitoring and management system.

PROJECTS IN INDONESIA

For the Sigma class corvette project, we provided the electrical installation, platform automation, switchboards and consoles, UniMACS integrated bridge system, and more.

POLISH PROJECTS

For the Gawron class corvette project, Imtech was the electrical contractor and responsible for the delivery of the electrical installation design, UniMACS 3000 integrated platform management system, fire fighting and damage-control system, integrated CCTV system, and on-board training system.

TURKISH NAVY MILGEM CORVETTE PROJECT

Imtech will design and deliver an extensive Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the first Turkish Navy MILGEM corvette. Imtech will execute this program with its Turkish partner YALTES, and will be the preferred supplier for the remaining 12 ships in this programme. The project is considered a major breakthrough for Imtech in the Turkish market.
