Answering the call for a rugged, sealed LCD monitor is General Digital’s Barracuda™ series. Sealed to IP67 and NEMA4X standards, the Barracuda enclosures protect the LCD monitors against several contaminants: water immersion (submersion) between 15cm and 1m depths, dust, falling dirt or debris, rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, hose-directed water and external formation of ice on the enclosure.
The Barracuda series is most at home in excessively dusty or wet conditions, most often found in industrial and military environments such as deserts, ships, outdoor kiosks or any other environment where there is constant exposure to changing weather conditions. Available in display sizes ranging from 6.4in to 24in, the Barracuda series of LCD monitors are available with LED backlights for superior performance.
