Dinrack Modular Systems manufactures floor-standing racks, sub-racks and their accessories to IEC 297 and DIN 41494 standards. We serve both the defence and civil industries.

ELECTRONIC WARFARE SYSTEM RACKS

Our most prominent products for the defence industry are ruggedised and EMI / RFI-protected racks for electronic warfare systems. They are suitable for naval, air force and army applications.

Dinrack has supplied:

• Submarine racks for navies which enter through 600mm submarine-hatches

RUGGEDISED MILITARY RACKS

Our latest rugged military rack for electronic warfare systems has dimensions of 500mm x 320mm x 1628mm, and can enter a submarine hatch 2ft in diameter. It possesses fire-retardant painting, IP54 protection and a foldable keyboard facility.

The shock, vibration, EMI/RFI, humidity, salt corrosion, anti-fungus and limited acoustic noise levels meet naval requirements. There is also a range of cooling systems available:

• Series-flow or parallel-flow cooling
• Close-circuit Air to Air (CAA) cooling through specially developed heat-exchangers with 100% control over dust and humidity
• Open-loop cooling with air filters
• AC adaptability for higher watt losses
• Chilled air cooling

VME 64X CARD FRAME

The VME 64X card frame has a VME 64X x 18 slot motherboard with either active or passive configuration, and 12VDC fans with 10W per slot cooling.

It has 500W SMPS pluggable with an input of 90V to 270V. Its range of possible output includes 3.3V and 80A; 5V and 50A; +12V and 7.5A; and -12V and 1.5A. Current sharing is possible with the first three options.

The VME 64X card frame also has a hot-swapping facility for power supplies and cards, and an optional Rear Transition Module (RTM) facility. Its operating-temperature range is 20°C to 70°C.

We are an ISO 9001 company with 60 employees and over 6,000ft² of manufacturing space, as well as approximately 20 ancillary units and a skilled mechanical-design team. We provide manufacturing, integration and testing for developmental and production activities.
